There is a revised parish page, with expanded information, for Gamrie, and as part of the ongoing project described in March 2005, there is a new subsidiary Gazetteer page for Gamrie.

There is also a revised main page for the parish of Banff, and a new subsidiary Gazetteer page for the landward part of Banff parish.

As part of the ongoing project described in March, there is a new main page for the parish of Fordyce, with a link to a new subsidiary Gazetteer page.

As part of the ongoing project described in March, there are new main pages for the parishes of Cullen and Deskford, with links to new subsidiary Gazetteer pages.

As part of the ongoing project described last month, there are new main pages for the parishes of Alvah and King Edward, with links to new subsidiary Gazetteer pages.

Mar 2005

There are new main pages for the parishes of Botriphnie and Boyndie, with links to new subsidiary Gazetteer pages. These incorporate the first fruits of a joint project betwen myself and Ray Hennessy to upgrade the GENUKI Gazetteer for Banffshire. This involves culling placenames from the modern OS Explorer map, the Victorian OS maps and other sources including Census enumerations. The project continues, and other parishes will be upgraded as work on them is completed. The Boyndie page also now includes a revised "Maps" section, which will link into "Streetmap", "Multimap" and Oldmaps".

Jan 2005

The Historic Geography sections of the parish pages for Cabrach, Gartly, Glass, Newmachar and Old Deer have been updated to reflect an anomaly (pointed out by Sandy Archibald) in the 1696 Poll Tax for these parishes.

Dec 2004

The County page now includes a link to the GENUKI Gazetteer, immediately after the Parish list, to help users locate Banffshire placenames, and a "What's New?" link leading to this page.

There are complete new Parish pages for Cairnie, Gartly, Glass, King Edward, Newmachar, Old Deer, Rothes and St. Fergus.

The Parish pages for Banff, Botriphnie, Cullen, Deskford, Enzie, Fordyce, Inveravon, Keith, Kirkmichael, Mortlach and Rathven have a revised "Maps" section, which will link into "Streetmap", "Multimap" and Oldmaps".

The "Cemeteries" section in the Parish pages for Alvah, Cabrach, Cullen, Deskford, Fordyce, Forglen, Inverkeithny, Marnoch and Rathven (whose Memorial Inscriptions are either published or held by Aberdeen and NE Scotland FHS) has been updated with a link to the "MI Index Online".
